The same stack the rest of NEON Office Suite runs on: Tauri 2 (Rust) for the desktop shell, TypeScript + React for the editor surface, Tiptap 2 (built on ProseMirror) for the rich-text engine, Tailwind v4 for the chrome. WebView2 on Windows. We picked each piece because it was boring and well-supported, not because it was new.

Your document is a .carta file on disk. Open it with any text editor, sync it with anything, back it up with anything. No proprietary format, no data hostage situation.
Written by humans, for humans.
No AI staring at you from a sidebar. No chatbot in the corner. The doc is yours, the words are yours, the file lives where you put it.
Your files, your disk.
Save to a folder. Use your own file sync - Syncthing, Dropbox, iCloud, whatever you already use. We don't need to be in the middle.
